Time Tested Beauty Tips

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good
in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with
the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his
or her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll
never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be
restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; Never throw out anybody.
Remember, If you ever need a helping
hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm.
As you grow older, you will discover that
you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping
others.
The beauty of a woman is not in the
clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the
doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial
mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring
that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman
with passing years only grows!
I try to make a conscious effort to wear appropriate clothing that covers up the chest, most of the arms and legs... and in my case, hair as well. I am not obligated to cover my hair, but sometimes I just like to because of my personal views. I feel that when I wear my kerchiefs, I am reminded more frequently of purity and God's will and view of true beauty. Purity comes from within and though I know this, I still want my hair covering to be an added symbol of my love and loyalty to my future husband. I know that in the Amish church, the wedding night is incredibly special because that is the first time the wife will show her hair to her husband, and it is an honor and a memorable experience. There are many types of clothing that are modest and can cover thoroughly to your liking, and that you can feel comfortable in. Personally, I don't like a lot of pattern on my clothes, but this does not mean I never wear things like that. In the photo you will see that I am wearing a peasant blouse which is my new favorite shirt style and also a skirt. As long as the skirt is below the knees, I feel modest. This is just me. You might have different ideas to what modest clothing is and apply it to your life differently. Whatever makes you comfortable. Remember the heart behind it is the most important thing.
