Dear Friend,
Let me start by saying this. Infinite. At this point in time, I am only a quarter of the way through The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, and I truly have never felt so much at once. Reading this book is like eating Shurbert icecream; there are so many flavors mixed and some you may like, others you may hate, or if you're anything like Charlie, you appreciate the bright color, the variety, the unusualness of the dessert.
I know that that might of sounded a bit cheesy and all, but no seriously, if you want a book, a character to relate to, get this one. What I like most about it is not knowing who the friend is Charlie's writing to, and trying to piece the overall meaning of the book together as I go.
I love it so far, and I just feel so connected with the characters and their inner most feelings. High school can be tough, I know this, and I know that without my two best friends, it'd be like swimming through molasses or something. I don't want to tell you that much, but if you'd just read the first sentence of the book, I promise, you'll want to keep reading and find your own infinite.
